Thieves targeting catalytic converters on Sleaford cars

Police are appealing for any information following a spate of thefts of catalytic converters from vehicles in the Sleaford area, with four of the six incidents occurring in the last week.

A catalytic converter was stolen from a Landrover Defender parked on a driveway on Town Road, Quarrington overnight on February 24-25.

Another was stolen from a Ford Ranger parked on Manor Place, Sleaford, overnight on March 11-12 and another Ford Ranger was targeted on Cromwell Crescent, Sleaford, overnight March 17-18.

A catalytic converter was stolen from a Peugeot 307 parked on Park Avenue, Sleaford, also overnight March 17-18, and another from a Peugeot 407 on Peterborough Way, Sleaford, the same night. On the same night a Peugeot 307 estate on a driveway on Mount Lane, Kirkby la Thorpe was also targeted.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team are asking residents to be vigilant and use security lighting and other measures. Any information should be passed on via 101.
