Householders in the area will be receiving a form asking them to check that their information on the electoral register is up to date.
It is part of North Kesteven District Council’s annual voter registration canvass. The council reminds people that by-elections can take place at any time with Police and Crime Commissioner elections taking place throughout Lincolnshire in May 2016.
Ian Fytche, electoral registration officer at North Kesteven District Council, said: “Anyone that wants to vote must be registered. To make sure you are able to have your say at the elections next year, simply check the form when it arrives and return it as promptly as possible.”
For those currently not registered they can go online to apply to register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or contact the elections team on 01529 414155.
