Parents and their children were invited to join in a special bedtime story evening at a Sleaford primary school.
Last week, parents of Early Years and Key Stage 1 children at Our Lady of Good Counsel School were asked to come in after school with youngsters to read bedtime stories to their children.
The aim was to encourage parental engagement and get children enthused about reading books with their parents.
The children and grown ups put on their pyjamas and slippers to snuggle up with hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. They could bring in their favourite snuggly pillows, cushions and blankets to cuddle up with, as well as cuddly toys.
They all practised cleaning their teeth ready for bed, with each child receiving a brand new toothbrush.
The pupils then broke off into groups to hear more bedtime stories read by the teaching staff before heading home for real bedtime!
