The History department at Kesteven and Sleaford High School organised an exciting Tudor History Day for year 8 classes.
Due to the size of the year group, it was split so the event was spread over two days.
The day involved a variety of activities, including a Tudor banquet. Teacher Linda Butler explained it coincided with their classroom studies of the Tudor period, Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn and the destruction of the monasteries.
The girls did activities throughout the day, including candle making, embroidery, pottery and cures for ailments from the period. At the banquet they ate Tudor food supplied by the cookery department and performed plays and dances, singing and music.
The girls dressed in Tudor costume and sat on the top table at the banquet are the ‘noblewomen’, from left - Youmn Alsheikh Ali, Amber Adams, Coryna Budd, Teya Weller, Eloise Brown, Caitlyn Roebuck and Lucy North.
