A bazaar to celebrate the holy festival of Eid was staged at Sleaford Islamic Centre on Sunday.
The event was opened by Deputy Mayor of Sleaford Mark Suffield and there was a good turn out of visitors from the wider community interested in learning more about Muslim culture.
Nadim Aziz from the centre said people were very interested to have a look around the new prayer hall and browse around the many stalls put on by members of the local muslim community.
He said some came from as far as Lincoln and Grantham and there was food on offer from a wide range of cultures including Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Moroccan and Algerian.
He thanked the local community for attending and for everyone who helped put on the event. There were queues for pony rides, henna tattoos and face painting
All proceeds will go to their Muslim community charity.
