More than 140 historic vehicles were on display at the annual Historic Car and Motorcyle Show.

Additional attractions at the Lafford Terrace car park on Eastgate came from Sleaford’s Gary Horspole sidecar racing team and Chris Ridlealgh motorcycle racing team.

The show was opened by Sleaford Town Crier John Griffiths who arrived in full regalia on his trike, joined by three more trikes ridden by his friends and club mates.

For the second year, there was a parade of
vehicles from Four Seasons Garden Centre, through town to the show.

There was a total of 31 trophies awarded, all sponsored by local businesses, families and friends of past supporters and entrants. Winners came from as far as Grimsby and Belper.

Mary Sanders, one of the organisers, said: “Feedback from those attending was that they loved coming to Sleaford, enjoyed the Farmers’ Market and looking around Sleaford and would be returning again for next year’s show on Saturday September 3, courtesy of NKDC at Lafford Terrace.”
