A house fire spread to an adjacent property yesterday (Monday).

Fire crews from Sleaford, Billingborough and Donington attended a house on fire on Queen’s Road, Great Hale reported at 11.44am.

About a quarter of the roof space, a water tank and bathroom was damaged by the flames which also spread to the neighbouring property, causing fire and smoke damage to both.

Fire investigators believe the fire was caused by an electrical fault.

Firefighters used two hose reels, two breathing apparatus and one main jet to extinguish the flames, according to a fire service spokesman.
