Sleaford and District Neighbourhood Watch could be forced to fold if more volunteers don’t come forward.
That’s the message from chairman David Stewart, who is seeking more support for the organisation.
He said: “Our AGM in early June is critical because, without more support for the committee, we may be forced to close.
“We urgently need members to promote NHW and help members get the best out of the organisation. The work isn’t onerous but can be very rewarding. We are not seeking any special skills but those who wish to improve NHW and the relationship with the police, and wish to take the organisation forward, can help us.”
He added: “Our relationship with the police is critical as they face up to the challenges brought about by the recession. It’s our view they will need all the help and support they can get going forward.”
The AGM is likely to be held on June 4. For more information, email sadn email@example.com
