A newly-modernised Post Office branch is to open at the former Post Office and Co-op premises in Metheringham later this month.
The service, which launches at 1pm on September 25, will be provided from two secure fortress positions and the branch will be open between 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
The opening hours will increase by an extra five hours on Saturday afternoon.
The old Post Office will close on Wednesday, September 16, at 5.30pm – in order for the refurbishment work to take place.
Alan Ridoutt, area manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future. The investment marks a commitment to our no-more-branch-closure programme.”
