The next closing date of February 1 for receipt of applications to the Sleaford Town Fund is fast approaching.
If you run or are involved with a not-for-profit community group that mostly benefits people living within the Sleaford town boundary, then contact Sue Fortune, grants manager with the Lincolnshire Community Foundation on 01529 305825 for further details or go to the grants page at lincolnshirecf.co.uk.
You may be able to apply for up to £1,500. Grants of up to £250 to individuals to help people get back into work, training or education may also be awarded.
The fund was established when some town councillors decided to forfeit their allowances. Grants have previously been given to groups for running costs, volunteer training, project delivery and equipment costs.
Lincolnshire Community Foundation staff are happy to give advice about form filling, eligibility and costings.
Things that can be funded include costs associated with access to local services and activities, disability groups, support for older people (early intervention projects) and activities for young people.
Funding can be provided to cover equipment, travel, venue hire, telephone, refreshments and volunteer costs/training.
Activities must meet an identified need in the community.
