Public toilets to remain open in Sleaford - on reduced hours

Sleaford Town Council has announced its public toilets will remain open during the upcoming national Covid-19 lockdown but on reduced hours.

The shorter hours will enable thorough cleaning of each of the premises at the end of each day.

They will open at 9am and close at 3pm daily.

The disabled toilet in Money’s Yard will continue to be accessible 24 hours a day through the use of a radar key. If you require a key, these can be purchased through the Council.

the council states: “Particular care should be taken when using these facilities and users must observe social distancing at all times. Please wash your hands before and after using the toilets.”

Sleaford Town Council strongly advise all residents of Sleaford to observe the Government’s warning to stay at home for you and your family’s safety.

To enable the public to carry out daily exercise in a safe environment, Town Council will continue to also open allotments, play areas and open spaces.

To minimise any risk to users, please follow the hand washing advice set by the Government before and after using the play equipment and bring your own hand sanitiser.

If the areas are busy, return at a different time once it is quieter. Always observe social distancing.

The facilities should not be used by anyone showing signs of Coronavirus or anyone who is self-isolating.

Guidance will be displayed at all sites and for the enjoyment of all, you must follow this.

The cemetery will be open to vehicles from 8am until 4pm.

Burials will continue to take place with up to 15 people in attendance at the grave side. Social distancing should be maintained between people who do not live together or share a support bubble.

Market traders providing essential goods or services will be invited to continue trading, with customers asked to follow government guidance in relation to washing hands, face coverings and social distancing.
