Briefing sessions are being organised for anyone who is interested in standing as a district councillor in South Kesteven in the May elections.
The briefings at the council’s offices in Grantham on Monday, at 5pm, and Wednesday, March 4, at 2pm, are intended to help anyone who is thinking of becoming one of its 56 councillors.
They will explain the nomination process, outline the election timetable as well as matters relating to voting, campaigning and count arrangements.
Anyone who thinks they fit the bill is asked to get in touch with the elections team in advance to confirm attendance and the ward they wish to stand for by calling 01476 406080 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The election process begins with the publication of the Notice of Election no later than March 30.
To give more time for nominations to be submitted, the Notice of Election for both district and parish elections in South Kesteven will be published on March 23.
