Helpringham Parish Council has just installed a new noticeboard in the village thanks to grants from Network Rail and Lincolnshire County Council.
The old one opposite the church had fallen into disrepair and badly needed replacing with something more substantial, a spokesman for the parish council said.
The county council awarded the parish £300 towards the cost of the noticeboard, while Network Rail contributed £600 in light of the disruption caused to residents over the last year through the GNGE Alliance Project. This saw temporary road closures while three rail bridges around the village were upgraded.
