Sleaford Town Council looks set to be over budget in this financial year.
When councillors looked at the draft budget proposals at Wednesday’s full council meeting it was agreed provisionally not to increase the precept demanded from town tax payers.
This was in spite of a projected overspend, they heard that some of which was due to the cost of moving to the new premises and various other expenditure.
○ The Town Council has agreed to start getting involved in producing a Neighbourhood Plan.
A Working Group will be looking at possible grants and getting the public and organisations involved.
A plan feeds into the area Local Plan and can influence the planning and development of the town, plus receiving more financial benefit from developers than areas where there is no such plan.
