North Kesteven residents can spring into a new season with savings on their energy bills through Lincolnshire Energy Switch scheme.
From Tuesday March 24 anyone can register at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/switch, whether you rent or own your home.
The scheme is open to all energy users, whether you are on dual fuel, electric only, pay monthly or quarterly or have a pre-payment meter and can reap savings of more than £200 on average.
All you need to hand when you register is your annual gas or electric statement or bills covering the last 12 months to hand.
Once you’ve registered your interest, energy suppliers will then be invited to compete with their best offers at an auction.
An offer letter stating the potential savings will be sent to your address or emailed after May 19, detailing scope to save hundreds of pounds through lower bills from the summer.
Registration is open until 5pm on Monday May 18. You can register offline at NKDC’s Sleaford offices or call 01529 414155 or 0800 048 8439.
North Kesteven District Council sustainability officer Tamara Walters encourages all residents to seek out increased energy efficiency and better prices as part of a spring clean. Last year, more than 1,600 households in Lincolnshire switched.
She said: “Hundreds of people across North Kesteven have already switched and are paying lower bills. There is nothing to lose by registering and seeing if the winning supplier beats your current energy prices.”
