A hundred Beaver Scouts from Sleaford District Scouts took part in a sleepover with a difference ... in the company of sharks.
Youngsters aged six to eight from eight local Beaver Colonies travelled to The Deep, in Hull, for the adventure - the district’s first Beaver sleepover.
On arrival, they were treated to a tour of the aquarium’s exhibits and attractions.
After closing time, dinner and more activities, the Beavers got out their sleeping bags to bed down next to a tank containing such sharks, rays and other species of fish.
Sally Darling, event organiser, said: “Scouting is all about adventure. Beaver Scouts provides that first taste of adventure for young people - for many of the Beavers this was their first night away from home, and for all a truly unique experience.”
