As the financial year comes towards its end the Cranwell branch of the RAF Association Wings Appeal had a great boost from the members of the Sleaford Golf Club.
In one day club members raised £2,300 towards the branch fund.
The Wings Appeal fund is used nationally to help current and past members of the RAF and their dependants who are in need.
From a whole host of activities, the branch, with support from the population of Sleaford and surrounding villages, has raised over £15,000 in the current year.
This is a record for the branch and members are grateful to Sleaford Golf Club and the population of Sleaford and surrounding villages for their generosity.
Paul Roberts, Wings Fund co-ordinator, received the cheque for £2,300 from Al Pearson - Sleaford Golf Club vice-chairman. Diana Robertson, of the RAFA branch, again raised well over £1,000 from a house to house collection in Heckington and Ewerby in September.
