Sleaford teenagers taking part in a volunteering scheme this summer are to hold a summer fete for charity.
The event is being held on Boston Road recreation ground from 1-4pm on Friday, July 29.
The young people have already spent the last couple of weeks attending Nottingham University to get guidance on careers and employability skills from local businesses and spent a week away at PGL in Caythorpe doing outdoor adventure exercises.
They are now tasked with doing a project for the community, by helping a good cause with fundraising or work.
Nicole Whiting from the group of 16-17 year olds explained: “It is part of our social action, we are fundraising for ‘Mind’ and ‘Help 4 Homeless Veterans’.”
There will be a fete with a number of stalls, raffle and cake sale to raise money.
