Motorist who was cut free from crash was unhurt, say police


A Billingborough woman was cut free from her car by firefighters following a two-vehicle crash near Pointon on Monday.

Crews from Billingborough, Donington and Spalding were called to the collision in Millthorpe Lane at about 9.30pm.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove roof of a Ford Ka to release a 20-year-old Billinghborough woman.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said the ambulance service could not find any injuries on the woman, but took her to hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed until 10.30pm.
