One casualty freed by firefighters after two vehicle crash on A15

Fire crews were needed to attend a collision on the A15 near Navenby yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).

Emergency services were called to the scene of the two vehicle crash reported at about 4.15pm.

The road was closed as crews from Lincoln and Sleaford, assisted by police were said to have used hydraulic rescue equipment to release one casualty from one of the vehicles. Crew also administered oxygen to the casualty and occupants suffered minor injuries.

A police spokesman said the incident involved a car and van and the car ended up in a ditch.
