One person cut from car after collision at Anwick

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after the car he was driving left the road, went into a hedge and hit a tree this morning (Monday).

The incident happened at about 4.20am on the A153 Main Road, Anwick near the junction with Church Lane. Fire crews from Sleaford and Billinghay were called to the scene and used hydraulic cutting gear to free the casualty from the Peugeot 307. The man, from Ruskington, is said to have suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.

The road is still believed to be blocked following the collision. More information to follow.
