Trains were delayed between Sleaford and Lincoln on Saturday after high winds brought down a small tree across the platform at Ruskington station.
Passengers had to wait for workmen to clear the tree before services could be resumed.
An East Midlands Trains spokesperson, said: “Our services running from Peterborough to Lincoln were affected around midday on Saturday by a fallen tree at Ruskington station. Trains running from Lincoln to Peterborough were unaffected.
“We quickly arranged for a bus to carry over 50 passengers to Lincoln on the service affected. Those remaining were taken forward by the train when the obstruction was removed by Network Rail.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
