Police have revealed they are treating a fire in Sleaford’s Handley Street as suspected arson.
The news came in a crime alert published moments ago on Twitter by Sleaford Police.
Earlier today: Fire crews gave oxygen to a casualty suffering smoke inhalation in a house fire in Sleaford late last night (Friday).
Oxygen was given until ambulance crews took over.
The alarm was raised shortly before midnight at a home in Handley Street.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue say there was fire damage to a mattress, which they found outside the address – and fire had spread to the bathroom and roof space.
There was heat damage to the fascia board and guttering and smoke damage to the ground floor of the house.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire.
