The body of a woman believed to be in her 70s has been found after a house fire at Dunston.
Emergency services were called to the B1188 main road at Dunston at about 3am this morning (Monday) where a detached bungalow was on fire.
A police spokesperson said: “Firefighters rescued a man from the fire and another man was able to walk clear of it. Both are being treated at Lincoln County Hospital, one of the men is in serious condition from burns and smoke inhalation. The other man is not as seriously injured. The body of a woman believed to be in her 70s was found in the house.”
Police and fire investigators will today examine the scene to try and establish the cause of the fire and a post mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of death of the woman.
