VIDEO - Walk of Witness passes through Sleaford town centre

Hundreds of people have been walking in solemn procession through Sleaford town centre today (Good Friday) as part of an annual Walk of Witness service organised by the area’s churches.

The event, held by Churches Together in Sleaford and District, sees worshippers of all ages follow a cross setting off from Station Road at 11am and heading to the Market Place via Southgate.

Police were on hand to control the flow of traffic, with much of the walk taking place in the road.

The procession was to be followed by a series of hymns and readings followed by refreshments.
