Strong winds are being forecast for Lincolnshire on Friday, bringing a risk of disruption to travel plans and power supplies.
This is the warning from the Met Office as it issues a ‘yellow’ warning of wind for the county and beyond.
A spokesman said: “There is the potential for gales, severe along some coasts, and accompanied by heavy rain, to spread across southern areas of England and Wales during the early hours of Friday, before easing during the morning.
“Gusts may reach 50-60mph inland and perhaps around 70mph in some exposed coastal districts.”
He added: “The public should be aware of the risk of damage to trees, disruption to travel and possibly to power supplies.”
