Warning of snow for parts of Lincolnshire

A warning of snow has been issued for parts of Lincolnshire for later today (Tuesday, January 20) and tomorrow.

The Met Office has issued the ‘yellow warning’ for the western half of the county, meaning residents there should ‘be aware’.

The warning is valid from 4pm today until noon tomorrow.

A Met Office spokesman said: “An area of snow is expected to extend north-eastwards from parts of Wales across the Midlands and into parts of northern England on Tuesday evening and night, persisting into Wednesday morning.

“Accumulations of 3-8cm are likely in places, perhaps 10-15cm very locally on high ground. The snow should ease gradually through Wednesday morning.

“The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to transport.”
