Ruskington Rovers and Pointon missed out on places in round four of the Lincolnshire Junior Cup.

Ruskington went down 7-1 in their home tie against Westwoodside Rangers.

Matthew Gorman netted the hosts’ consolation.

Pointon fell to an 8-2 defeat at College Wanderers, despite finishes from Sam Husband and Nathan Wilson.

In the Boston Saturday League’s Taylors Garages Premier Division, Heckington Millers’ match at Wyberton Reserves was abandoned after just 25 minutes when home goalkeeper Scott Williams suffered a nasty head injury.

An ambulance was called but the ensuing delay meant that the match official could not re-start the match knowing that it could not be completed before the light faded.

The match is likely to be replayed on a date to be arranged.

Skegness Town Reserves were forced to postpone their home match against Billinghay Athletic due to a waterlogged pitch.

In the Taylors Ford Division Two, Pointon Reserves enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 home win against Billinghay Athletic Reserves thanks to goals from Glenn Long, Dane Hardy and Tom Wickens.

The Taylors Vauxhall Division Three saw Pointon A and Friskney Reserves shared the points following a 1-1 draw.

Mark Smith grabbed the Pointon goal.

Northgate Olympic’s recent improvement continued with an excellent 6-2 home win against Spalding Harriers, with Ciaran Cullen and Dan Broughton both hitting double strikes for their side.
