Sleaford Town Reserves 3 Nettleham 1

Sleaford Town’s second string continued their improvement with three points against fourth placed Nettleham on Saturday.

While Town’s first team struggle for points at the moment, the reserves are enjoying a rich vein of form.

Against Nettleham, goals from Jamie Shaw, Jake Ellis and Christopher Shipley netted the spoils for Sleaford.

William Munro scored a consolation goal for the visitors.

Heckington United 2

Louth Town Reserves 3

Sam Hallett struck twice for Louth as they edged out Heckington at Howell Road.

It was Louth’s first win in four games, with Paul Coulam scoring their other goal.

Gainsborough Town 3

Gainsborough led 1-0 at the break thanks to a goal from Josh Nichol, his tenth of the season.

In the second half the visitors were reduced to ten men when Ashley Holland was dismissed with a straight red card for a tackle from behind.

The lead was eventually doubled when Ashley Page scored with a 25-yard free kick after 70 minutes.

Lee Bognar secured the win for Gainsborough with his 16th goal of the season.

A hat-trick from Kurt Crossley helped holders Skegness United set up a mouth-watering second round tie against neighbours Skegness Town.

United’s other scorer was player-manager Mark Hallam.

CGB Humbertherm 5

Ruston Sports 0

Flying high in the league, Rustons came down to earth with a bump when they travelled to Fulstow for this cup tie.

The Therm’s goal-a-game Daniel Trott struck four times to knock the Lincoln side out.

Ryan Rice was their other scorer.

Lincoln United Reserves 2 Grimsby Borough Reserves 0

Lincoln United Reserves can now look forward to a quarter final at CGB Humbertherm after their home success over Grimsby Borough’s second string.

They’ve got scorers Fabian Rowe and Lee Warman to thanks for their place in the last eight.

The tie will be played at Fulstow Playing Field on March 2 next year.
