Sleaford Town Bowls Club played six matches with mixed results.

Away at North Scarle in the ASC Metals League, all three rinks won to take maximum points with a score of 66-34.

Results: Pete Annison Gill Annison and Larry Davies won 27-13; Steve Morris, Julie Cope and Trevor Cope won 21-9; Linda Morris Neil Mapletoft and Bas Gilbert won 18-12.

At home in the city league, three rink wins secured the aggregate score 96-66 and 12 points.

Results: Kris Moore Larry Davies and Andrew Bird won 27-11; John Parker, Roger Neaverson and Paul Jobson won 29-17; Pete Annison, Neil Mapletoft and Trevor Cope won 20-16; Richard Barnes, Martin Titley and Phil Musson lost 20-22.

At home against Heighington in the district league, the Town lost by two shots, with the one winning rink of Joan Gilbert, David Curt and Roy Markham not enough to secure a winning game.

Results: Jackie Wareham, Steve Traynor and Bas Gilbert lost 18-25; Gerald Woodhead, Julie Cope and Colin Grosse lost 20-24; Pete Annison, Trevor Cope and Mick Wareham lost 16-19.

Away at the Legionnaires in the Woodhall Spa League, all three rinks won to take six points.

Results: Robin Wilson, David Curt and Colin Grosse won 21-11; Catherine Frain, Gillian Annison and Roy Markham won 20-14; Mick Jarrald, Ken Dye and Brian Srawley won 22-18.

Three rinks played at the Moorlands Railway on Thursday evening in the Drifill Trophy, with the result a defeat.

The Town played Heckington in the Sleaford League Knockout Cup semi-final on a two rinks at home and two away format.

Results: away – Colin Grosse, Joan Gilbert and Julie Cope won 20-17; Arthur Norris, Lewis Jobson and Bas Gilbert lost 13-24; home – Ruth Bird, Ken Dye and Brian Srawley lost 18-30; Peter Annison, Jackie Wareham and Gillian Annison lost 14-32.

At home against Long Bennington in the ASC Metals League, two rink wins gave the Town the aggregate 78-33 and eight points.

Results: Kris Moore, Neil Mapletoft and Colin Grosse won 34-4; Pete Annison, Brian Srawley and Trevor Cope won 32-7; Linda Morris, Gillian Annison and Larry Davies lost 12-22.
