A Helpringham-based para dressage competitor has been selected as an individual to ride for Great Britain.
Julie Frizzell, who has recently ridden for England and finished third in the Home International, next heads off to the British Para Championships at Hickstead at the end of July, prior to heading to Bishop Burton CPEDI2* international competition in August, where she will ride for Great Britain as an individual.
And there was more good news for 45-year-old Julie recently after she met some avid horse enthusiasts from Selby-based company Horseplay on a train to Grantham. Following the chance encounter, Julie and her business Dressage Coaching UK have teamed up with Horseplay who supply stabling, arena surfaces and rubber matting.
Julie said: “Who would have thought that a delayed train, a chance meeting and a growing professional and personal friendship could develop into this”. “I am so incredibly fortunate to be sponsored by Horseplay, their support of a ‘normal’ rider, with a normal little horse, proves that they value absolutely everyone.”
