G. Pask, with C. Rands, F. Collin and M. Wareham dropped just four ends towards a solid win 27 – 5. D. Chandley’s set of D. Hocking, J. Thomas and H. Smyth had to come from behind with a strong finish to a creditable win at 17 – 13.
A. Bristow’s set of K. Dowling, G. Glover and R. Pearson started strongly, had a mid-game blip, but recovered to win 24 – 11.
Team Captain L. Davies, with R. Barnes, D. Woods and T. Stanley stormed into a 15 shot lead and then piled on the pressure to run out easy winners at 35 – 8 in a display of sustained and accurate bowling. D. Stobart’s set of P. Annison, C. Grosse and T. Curran looked totally in charge at 19 – 6 on the 14th end then lost their concentration but hung on to win at 20 – 15.
