Bassingham racing driver Jack Harvey added a further two second-place finishes to his Indy Lights tally this season; this time at the challenging Barber Motorsports Park circuit in Birmingham, Alabama.
In the opening race on Saturday, Harvey made a textbook start and put in a series of strong lap times. Championship leader Spencer Pigot, who started in pole position, proved hard to catch, but after 30 laps of racing Harvey crossed the finish line in second place to secure another 25 championship points.
Race two on Sunday saw Harvey make another perfect start, but the tight and twisty road circuit allowed for very few overtaking opportunities. Although he pushed hard throughout the race he again had to settle for second at the end of the 35 lap race.
He is now third in the Indy Lights Championship with 112 points, 17 behind leader Pigot.
