Bassingham racing driver Jack Harvey claimed a double podium finish in the opening rounds of the Indy Lights Championship.
Following a series of successful pre-season tests over the winter, the 2014 Indy Lights Vice champion headed to Florida for rounds one and two of the season.
The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver kicked off his challenge at the 1.9-mile St Petersburg street circuit with a solid qualifying session on Saturday.
He ended third fastest and then made a perfect start to the race when passing Max Chilton on the opening lap.
He remained there to the finish to claim 25 championship points and it was a similar story 24 hours later.
The Racing Steps Foundation-backed driver again lined up third on the grid and he made another strong start.
Harvey was up to second by the end of the opening lap and was right on the tail of race leader Ed Jones.
He again finished second to pick up a further 25 points.
He said: “It was a good opening race weekend.
“However we came to win, so we’re not going to be totally satisfied without a win each time.
“The team has worked really hard over the winter and this result reflects this.
“Our focus now turns to Long Beach next month where we will be looking to build on this and get our first win of the season.“
