Sleaford Striders chose the gruelling Rauceby Ripper cross country as the first in their race series and saw a fantastic turnout of 36 members achieving great results and a number of prizes.
This year organisers set a course combining mud, slippery surfaces and hills. First Strider home was Andy Richardson in 55.05, followed by John Siddens in 55.46 beating son-in-law, Alan Oliver who had a time of 56.29. First lady Strider was Hannah Shepherd completing her first event in 1.22.15. Other achievements saw Steve Robinson in 1.15.28, Darrell Williamson, 1.18.17,Derek James 1.20.31 and recovering from a back operation, Tracey Dickinson in 1.31.35.
