Titles decided in finale of grass season at kart club

The 2014 grass season at Coningsby Kart Club has come to a close, with a meeting in which all championships were decided.

October’s meeting at Metheringham’s Green Man Field track saw Jack Crawford win in the 70cc class, with Ethan Brown finishing second and Jack Goodliffe third.

Robert Townsend won the 90cc class, winning all five of his heats.

In the 125 four-stroke juniors class, Ellie Lawrence took first place, narrowly edging out Michael Clarke with Andrew Clarke in third.

The 125 four-stroke seniors class was won by Luke Blower, taking first place in three of the five heats. Second went to Jordan Bliss, with Lisa Fountain in third.

The 200cc Honda win went to Dave Townsend, claiming victory in four of his five heats.

The 125 two-stroke class win went to Ryan Simmons, winning all five of the heats. Second place went to Henry Urban.

Cliff Hope won in the 250 four-stroke class, with John Reynolds in second and Dean Baumber in third.

Shaun Everard claimed victory in the 250 two-stroke class. Second went to Robert Mastin and third went to Simon Brown.

l 90cc 1st Robert Townsend, 2nd place Liam Adcock, 3rd Grady Goode.

l 125 four-stroke jnrs 1st Michael Clarke, 2nd place Liam Foreman, 3rd Andrew Clarke.

l 125 four-stroke snrs 1st Lisa Fountain, 2nd place Jordan Bliss, 3rd Luke Blower.

l 125 two-stroke 1st Henry Urban, 2nd Ryan Clarke.

l 250 four-stroke 1st Daniel Clarke, 2nd Cliff Hoppe, 3rd Gavin Scott.

l 250 two-stroke 1st Shaun Everard, 2nd Simon Brown, 3rd Robert Mastin.

A spokesman for the club thanked the committee and the club members for helping to make the season a success.

He added: “Hopefully we will see all of you in November for our winter road season at East Kirkby.

“Failing that we hope to see you all in 2015 for the grass and lets make 2015 bigger, better and even more successful than this year.”
