As the Lincolnshire ECB Premier League season gets underway on Saturday, Sleaford Cricket Club 1st XI will be hoping their record-breaking Kiwi batsman Tim Macintosh is once again in fine form.

It will be Tim’s third season with Sleaford, who begin their campaign with a trip to Market Deeping, who have just signed South African batsman Emile Kriek, captain of Boland Province and South African universities.

Saturday’s games include an intriguing clash, with last year’s champions Bourne entertaining runners-up Lindum, who now have Lincolnshire all-rounder and former Cleethorpes stalwart Alex Osmond in their line-up.

Elsewhere two popular Sri Lankans return for a second season – Malinga Bandara to Woodhall Spa and Amila Wettasinghe to Louth - while Bracebridge Heath are also expected to introduce a Sri Lankan bowler to their side alongside new signings Andy Scott and Steve Scott from Billingborough.

Fixtures for Saturday, April 18 (noon start): Louth v Bracebridge Heath; Market Rasen v Grimsby Town; Skegness v Grantham; Market Deeping v Sleaford

* In the Premier Division of the South Lincolnshire & Border League, Billingborough, relegated from the ECB Premier League last season, will make the trip to Spalding 2nd XI hoping to get their season off to a good start.

Sleaford 2nd XI take on Moulton Harrox, while Woodhall Spa are at home to Stamford Town.
