One of the most iconic American singers of the 20th century provides the subject of a show coming to the Sleaford area this weekend.
Fever! The Life And Loves Of Peggy Lee will be staged at Leadenham Hall 2000, in Main Road, on Sunday.
It is being performed by critically acclaimed jazz singer Sarah Moule, with accompaniment from internationally renowned pianist Simon Wallace.
Moule received rave reviews for her fourth album, Songs From The Floating World, released in September 2014; The Observer awarded it five stars and hailed it as ‘cool’, ‘elegant’, and ‘immaculate’.
The show looks at the turbulent and often troubled life behind Lee’s glamorous image and features signature songs and hidden gems by the Fever and Black Coffee star.
Tickets are priced at £12 or £15 to include a light supper (soup and dessert).
Supper will be served from 6.30pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm. The bar is open.
