The North Kesteven semi-final of Dance Factor Lincolnshire 2015 is coming to The Terry O’Toole Theatre in North Hykeham later this month.
Young dancers in the district have been learning how to pop and lock as part of the Dance Factor Lincolnshire project, which provides free street dance sessions for young people aged between 11 and 18.
As a result, four new dance crews have been created in North Kesteven, with each one benefitting from up to 10 weeks of sessions with a professional dance teacher.
Now The Rusko Rebels from Ruskington, Outbreak from Sleaford, Game Over from North Hykeham and KoolKidz from Branston, are preparing to put their new moves to the test as they get ready to compete against each other in the semi-finals at The Terry O’Toole Theatre on Thursday, April 30. The event starts at 8pm.
They will perform in front of a live audience and judging panel, and the winners will go forward to the Lincolnshire grand final, where they will battle against other regional winners to be crowned Dance Factor Lincolnshire 2015 champions.
Tickets for the semi-final cost £3 and can be purchased from The Terry O’Toole box office on 01522 88331, or at www.terryotootletheatre.org.uk
The Dance Factor final will be held at The Engine Shed, Lincoln on Sunday, May 10.
