Sleaford Town councillors have agreed with Sleaford Museum Trust on the name Sleaford Museum as the title of the project taking shape in the former public toilets near Handley Monument.
Chairman of the trust David Marriage said work should be finished at the end of September with the single public toilet being opened before Christmas.
The museum itself should open at the end of March after three months fitting out the interior with desks and showcases. The team of volunteers then need to be selected, vetted and trained ready for opening at the beginning of April.
Mr Marriage said: “The constructors Carre Heritage have put a lot of effort into making sure the build quality is right and the workmanship is first class.”
