A host of attractions in and around Sleaford will be taking part in the Discover Lincolnshire Weekend this Saturday and Sunday.
The campaign sees venues across Lincolnshire give out free entry or special offers in a bid to encourage people to explore the county’s delights.
This year, they will include:
n Cogglesford Watermill and Navigation House, in Sleaford, where visitors will be able to claim a free 500g bag of flour per family when mentioning ‘Discover Lincolnshire Weekend’. The watermill will be rumbling into action for the first time this year and there will be a chance to learn about the history of the River Slea at Navigation House.
n St Denys’ Church, in Sleaford, will be open on Saturday from 9am to 4pm. A free guided tour will be held at 11am.
n Rauceby Church, in North Rauceby, will be open from 10am to 4pm, with free tea and coffee on offer. Historical photo albums, parish registers, and archive material will also be on display.
n Heckington Windmill will be free to attend all weekend between 12-4pm.
