An exhibition of work from a Sleaford arts group based on the natural world has opened.

The showcase from Sleaford Embroiderers can be found at The Café Gallery at The Natural World Centre, in Whisby Nature Park, until Sunday, January 17.

Sleaford Embroiderers is a group of 24 embroiderers/textile artists from Lincolnshire who meet monthly at Sleaford’s National Centre for Craft and Design (NCCD).

The group aims to promote embroidery as an art form.

The work in this exhibition - dubbed Nature Inspired - demonstrates the range of techniques, traditional and modern, that they use.

All the pieces in the exhibition deal with the natural world.

A larger exhibition will follow at the NCCD next year to mark the group’s 30th anniversary.

This showcase at The Natural World Centre has been organised and curated by artsNK in collaboration with the NCCD as part of a series of shows in The Café Gallery.

Lincolnshire-based voluntary arts groups who are interested in exhibiting should get in touch with Lucy Lumb at artsNK on 07825 048 055 or lucy.lumb@litc.org.uk
