A new class is aiming to inspire a new generation of wool spinners.
The Campaign for Wool has joined with the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers to attract new poeple to learn one of the wool industry’s original skills
Locally, Lincolnshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers are leading ‘Twinspin’ offering the chance to learn about spinning natural fleece wool into yarn with the help of an experienced spinner as a mentor.
The beginner will be pairewd with an enthusiast to learn the art. You could be a textile student, crafter or knitter or total novice - as long as you have an interest and enthusiasm.
You can go along to Wellingore Memorial Hall (Post code LN5 0BD) for a taster session on Saturday (July 16) from 11am to 3pm.
