An illustrated talk titled The Anatomy of a Bomber Command Raid - 1944 is to be held at Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre next week.
Mike Pugh-Davies, a retired Squadron Leader, will give the presentation in the Old Gymnasium on Wednesday, October 28, at 7.30pm.
It will looks at the activities that supported the Main Bomber Force operation.
Mr Pugh-Davies joined the RAF in 1976 after gaining a degree in aeronautical engineering.
He trained as a navigator and flew in Canberra, Phantom and Tornado aircraft.
As a NATO evaluator, he has flown in a number of other front-line aircraft. During his career as an RAF officer, he held a variety of flying and staff appointments around the world.
He has served on operations in the Falkland Islands, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Qatar. He has filled a variety of staff appointments in both the RAF and NATO.
Admission is £5 to visitors to include refreshments but is free to members of Friends of Metheringham Airfield and veterans of 106 Squadron.
