Children, young people, and families are invited to take part in free creative activities in Sleaford this weekend as part of The Big Draw, the world’s biggest drawing festival.
The National Centre for Craft and Design (NCCD) is holding a Big Draw event on Saturday from 10am-4pm.
As part of this year’s theme, Every Drawing Tells A Story, the Carre Street venue will be welcoming exhibiting artist Michael Brennand-Wood back to Sleaford to be involved in this year’ workshops.
Visitors will get a chance to work with the internationally-acclaimed textile artist to create their own characters from found objects and help him ‘Tell Their Story’.
Alongside Michael’s workshop there will be creative activities throughout the NCCD including clay relief sessions and the launch of NCCD’s Christmas card competition which is open to under 18s.
Lincolnshire-based visual and performing art specialists artsNK will also be on hand offering practical workshops to visitors.
