A new games hall has opened in Sleaford, kicking things off with a special event featuring top tribute act, Take That 2.
Business partners Karzan Hamasaid and Neil Price have opened the Reel Club, in the downstairs of the old Sleaford cinema on Southgate.
They also run the Reel Nightclub above.
Mr Hamasaid said they opened last Monday having installed five snooker tables, five tournament standard pool tables and three dartboards. They have entered the local leagues and already have four pool teams, three snooker teams and a darts team.
He said: “We also have a poker team which meets every Sunday in a league.
“The snooker tables are in a quiet and out of the way area in what used to be the children’s play area, whereas pool tends to be a more social event so we have those closer to the bar.”
They also plan to lay on bar meals and free wi-fi, membership is £12 per year which entitles members to a discount on playing fees of £3/hour instead of £4/hour for non members.
To celebrate, Take That 2 will be playing in the Reel Club on Saturday, May 23, from 7pm. Tickets, already selling well, are £15 including disco and hog roast, available from the Reel Club on 01529 968050, Appetites, Darmon’s Funhouse and Eat Drink Sleep. The group have performed across the UK and Europe. If the gig is successful, further acts may follow.
