The UK’s best stand-up, barefoot, un-classical guitarist returns to Scopwick Village Hall at the weekend, fresh from concerts in France and Spain.
Richard Durrant will play a special concert in Scopwick on Saturday night, to mark the launch of his long awaited, third Paraguayan album.
The album completes Richard’s trilogy of recordings, tracing his four year odyssey exploring the music of this little known South American nation.
Richard will play newly discovered Paraguayan music, plus pieces by legendary guitarist Augustin Barrios. Richard will also perform his own work ‘The Girl at the Airport’ which is featured on the new album and was recorded earlier this year with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tickets for the concert, taking place at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm), will cost £12 each, including a supper. There will also be a licensed bar open on the night.
