Touring theatre company, New Perspectives is bringing two classic stories merged into one spine tingling play to Ropsley Village Hall.

Watching the Living has been commissioned from East Midlands playwright Jane Upton, adapted from two Daphne du Maurier short stories, The Apple Tree and The Little Photographer.

The first focusses on a man who, after the death of his wife, becomes disturbed by a previously withered apple tree that starts to take an all too familiar shape. The second story focusses on a wife who, abandoned on holiday by her husband, begins an affair with a local photographer that eventually takes a sinister turn.

The production is on Sunday at 7pm. For tickets call 01476 585333.
