Residents in Welbourn or anyone with past connections to the village are invited to share their stories and photographs with ‘artist in residence’ Lyndall Phelps this week.
Lyndall is one of five artists taking part in artsNK’s Ridge & Furrows project.
It sees the five carrying out residencies in four towns and villages across North Kesteven to work with communities to develop artworks and generate ideas for a multi-arts festival in October 2016.
To this end, Lyndall is set to hold drop-in sessions this week: at Blacksmith’s Forge, from 10am–12.30pm, on Saturday, at Welbourn Village Hall, from 1-4pm, on Sunday, and from 10am-noon on Monday, and at Welbourn CofE Primary School Hall, from 4.30-6pm, also on Monday.
She he is particularly interested in the landscape and food production within the area.
She said: “I would especially like to hear from people whose ancestry links to the agricultural history of Welbourn in some way. I would love to hear personal stories and see a variety of family photographs.”
