Thousands of views for Boston-based hotel group’s lockdown poem

A poem by a Boston-based hospitality group inspired the latest national lockdown is proving a hit.

The piece by The Coaching Inn Group has been watched 4,000 times since it was published online last month.

Dubbed The Lockdown, it features general managers from across the group’s portfolio of properties, including Dom Solesbury, of Boston’s White Hart Hotel.

“The doors to our Coaching Inns are now closed/After lockdown restrictions were re-imposed,” it begins.

“We’ll see you soon, but who knows when?/We can’t wait to welcome you back again,” it continues.

Of the project, Dom said: “We really are one big family and are all keeping in close touch with one another through social media.”

Chief Executive Kevin Charity said the poem reflected the strong sense of camaraderie felt at the business.

“We can’t wait until the day we can re-open The White Hart which now plays such an important part in the life of the community,” he added.
